Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Technologist with specialization in Open Heart procedures in Altoona, Pennsylvania. This role involves supporting the surgical team in a variety of tasks within the operating room setting, ensuring the safety and efficiency of surgical procedures. The position requires a focus on aseptic technique, equipment setup, and assisting in complex surgeries related to open heart care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologists (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TSC); at least 2 years of operating room experience; completion of a program sponsored by nationally recognized institutional or programmatic accreditation; active certification or grandfathered status in accordance with PA legislation House Bill 81. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience specifically in open heart surgical procedures.
• Additional Information: The role requires preparing the operating room for open heart surgeries, passing instruments and supplies efficiently, assisting with patient preparation, and supporting the surgical team throughout procedures. Responsibilities also include restocking supplies, ensuring safety protocols, and maintaining sterile environment.
