Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry is sought for a healthcare organization located in Wilson, North Carolina. This position involves providing care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy telemetry unit, with a focus on cardiac, surgical, and general medical conditions. The role supports a team-oriented environment, emphasizing critical thinking and patient-centered care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Associate degree (BSN preferred), 1.5+ years of experience, BLS and ACLS certifications, experience with Meditech electronic medical record system, and skills in EKG interpretation and critical thinking.
• Preferred Qualifications: Managing discharges and admissions, basic knowledge of cardiac drips, experience with common diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, post-cardiac cath care, and ability to work in a team environment.
• Additional Information: Unit equipment includes Welch Allyn vital signs machines, Hoyer lift with weight scale, Abbott glucometer, computers on wheels, TR band, and Baxter IV pumps. Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as CHF, CP, ARF, COPD, uncontrolled diabetics, CKD, and post-cardiac catheterization care. The facility is located approximately 45 miles east of Raleigh, near Lake Wilson, and offers a local rate of $46.80 per hour for candidates residing 60 miles or more from the organization.
