Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OH) Nurse position in Portland, Oregon. This role involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care for open heart procedures and requires flexibility to float between units and facilities as needed. The position offers a dynamic clinical environment with a focus on adult patient care in a short-term acute care setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current licensure as a registered nurse, successful completion of a registered nurse program, at least 1 year of operating room experience with open heart procedures, and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Valid drivers license and vehicle required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Electronic Health Record systems (Epic preferred), previous open heart surgery experience, and familiarity with interdisciplinary team collaboration.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to different units and facilities within the organization based on skill set needs.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work one weekend per month, including a standby weekend. A vehicle is mandatory for this assignment, and candidates should be prepared for possible float to affiliated facilities in the Portland area, with associated incentives. Must also be available to work three out of five major holidays.
