Description
Job Summary:
Neuro Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN) needed in Walnut Creek. This 12-hour night shift position is scheduled to start on August 11, 2026, and is expected to last for 13 weeks. The role involves providing specialized care for neurological and trauma patients, including those with neuro, cardiac, pulmonary, renal, and sepsis conditions, in a Level II trauma facility.
Job Details:
- Location: Walnut Creek, California
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 08/11/2026
- Travel Required: No
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Required Qualifications: Current California license; 2+ years of experience; Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience; CCRN; EPIC experience
- Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU NEURO)
- Additional Information: Neuro ICU nurses will manage cardiac, pulmonary, neuro, renal, sepsis, and trauma patients, including those requiring ventilators, tracheostomies, central lines, and titrating drips. Familiarity with hospital-acquired infection prevention bundles (e.g., CAUTI, CLABSI, VAP) is required. The role includes floating as needed within the scope of skill. Typically, every other weekend shifts are expected.
