Description

Job Summary:
Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Northport, Alabama. The nurse will support patient recovery at a specialized rehabilitation and long-term acute care facility, providing care for patients recovering from stroke, hip fractures, or pulmonary conditions. This role involves working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver continuous medical supervision and therapy, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift with 12-hour shift hours and a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Certifications Required: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross certification.
  • Licenses Required: Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or a Compact license (No temporary licenses accepted).
  • Education: Associate degree in nursing.
  • Experience: Two years of experience preferred; however, 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license will be considered, with at least one year of recent experience in the specialty.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required, as candidates must be willing to float to other units or hospitals.
  • Additional Information: Candidates will provide patient care in a rehabilitation environment, supporting recovery through monitoring, therapy equipment, and close medical supervision. The role may involve working on holidays and every other weekend.
