Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Tucson, Arizona. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for patients in the labor and delivery department. The position requires utilizing specialized knowledge and skills to ensure high-quality care tailored to the physical, developmental, and emotional needs of patients. The caregiver will collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care throughout the labor and delivery process.

Job Details:

  • Location: Tucson, Arizona
  • Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or an applicable compact license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. While no minimum experience is specified, experience in obstetric or maternity care is preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in nursing or related field is preferred. Professional certification relevant to labor and delivery or maternal care is also preferred.
  • Additional Information: Responsibilities include assessing patients physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and discharge planning needs; formulating and revising care plans; providing direct patient care; coordinating with multidisciplinary team members; and documenting all aspects of care accurately in patient records. The role involves active participation in professional development, clinical research activities, and quality improvement initiatives. The position may require supervising staff and working with external providers, community agencies, and families to support patient-centered care.
