Description

Job Summary:
Med surg RN position in Medford, Oregon. This role involves providing patient care on a 38-bed medical-surgical unit focused on post-surgical recovery, with a variety of patient diagnoses excluding cardiac, orthopedics, and neurology. The position requires adaptability to floating within the medical-surgical units and adhering to unit-specific protocols.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification; Oregon or eligible for a 90-day temporary license; 2 years of nursing experience; valid RN licensure.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chest tubes, central lines, heparin drips, NG and JP drains, wound vacs, and dressing changes. Ability to titrate titratable drips such as heparin and amiodarone. Basic understanding of strip interpretation, lethal rhythms, and telemetry.
  • Additional Information: Local candidates are not accepted; there is a 50-mile radius restriction. The unit operates on 12-hour shifts, with no fixed weekend or holiday requirements, but flexibility may be necessary depending on department needs. The RN will participate in bedside report and hourly rounding. Float position within skill set and other med surg units or ICU may be required. No vents are present; Cpap at night for maintenance. Scrubs are provided; proper dress code must be followed. The starting date for this assignment is 07/27/2026.
