Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse position located in Medford, Oregon. The role involves caring for high-risk labor and antepartum patients, including managing epidurals, insulin drips, IV mag, and preterm labor cases. Additional duties include circulating in the operating room, assisting with deliveries, and floating to other women and children's units such as NICU, pediatrics, and postpartum. The position requires adherence to AWHONN standards and involves working a 12-hour day shift with every other weekend scheduled.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour day shift; every other weekend required
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure to practice as an RN; minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience; BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications are required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in high-risk obstetric care, proficiency with Epic electronic charting system, and familiarity with operating room procedures in obstetrics.
- Float: Float rotation may be required as needed to other women and children's units such as NICU, pediatrics, and postpartum.
- Additional Information: Travelers will attend 2 days of nursing orientation, 2 days of Epic training, followed by 1 week of unit-specific orientation. The client has a 50-mile radius restriction and may call off or cancel up to 24 hours per 13 weeks. The assignment starts on 07/27/2026, with a minimum of 36 hours per week and a typical caseload per nurse of 1 labor and 2-3 antepartum patients.
