Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Brighton, Colorado. This position involves providing independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards. The RN will perform patient assessments, develop and evaluate care plans, educate patients on health management, and execute therapeutic and medical functions as delegated or supervised, ensuring high-quality care within the department.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Experience or proficiency in nursing care, patient assessment, health teaching, health counseling, therapy, and treatment planning.
  • Registered nursing experience, medical function execution, consulting, delegation, supervision, and documentation skills.
  • No minimum years of experience explicitly required; relevant clinical experience as a nurse preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Additional certifications appropriate for the labor and delivery unit.
• Additional Information:
  • The position may require floating to other departments within scope of competency.
  • Candidates may be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
  • The role encompasses carrying out delegated medical functions and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
