Description
Job Summary:
Surgical Technologist specializing in Operating Room (ORT) at a healthcare facility in Vail, Colorado. The role involves assisting during surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile environment and providing instrumentation to the surgical team. The candidate will support high-quality patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist; licensed as a Surgical Technologist in Colorado; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association; ability to complete online learning requirements within 90 days; working knowledge of English.
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
- Physical Demands: Standing 50%, walking 20%, lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Age Specific Populations: Neonatal/Infant, Pediatrics, Adolescence, Young adult/Adult, Adult/Middle-aged, Geriatric.
- Additional Information: Assistance with patient transports, room turnovers, and sterilization of instruments. Role modeling professional behavior and maintaining competency with surgical procedures and technologies. Must be HIPAA compliant.
