Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor RN position located in Franklin, Indiana. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical setting, with a focus on diverse diagnoses such as pneumonia, COPD, CHF, orthopedic conditions, and gastrointestinal issues. The position offers a day shift schedule with a 12-hour shift length and a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6a-6:30p; 6p-6:30a; minimum 36 hours per week, with variable scheduling based on census and staffing needs.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, BLS (AHA), NIHSS certifications; zero to one year of experience required; located in Franklin, Indiana.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience on Medical Surgical (MS) units with a focus on MS/PCU/Telemetry or Critical Care Units.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within the scope of practice.
• Additional Information: The unit utilizes Cerner charting; a clinical nursing orientation followed by precepted shifts is provided. The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights, with PCTs available at 1:12 ratios. Chronic Bipap and Cpap equipment are used; remote monitoring tele-services are employed, with monitor techs responsible for strip analysis. The unit maintains a holiday rotation and requires four weekend shifts every six weeks.
