Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Medical Surgical with Telemetry registered nurse for a contract assignment at a medical center located in Marion, Illinois. This role involves providing direct patient care on a specialized neuro unit, with a focus on neuro and neuro-surgical patients. The position requires strong assessment, critical thinking skills, and the ability to manage a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Position: Medical Surgical with Telemetry RN
• Location: Marion, Illinois
• Shift Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: Minimum of 36 hours per week, with shifts starting on 08/10/2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks with possibility of extension
• Experience: Two years of strong Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience; at least one travel assignment; neuro experience required
• Certifications: Must have current active Illinois RN license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Patient Population: Neuro and neuro-surgical patients including CVAs, elective back/neck surgeries, cerebral angiograms
• Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required
• Additional Responsibilities: Will need to be comfortable taking medical overflow patients; perform neuro assessments including NIHSS/dysphagia screens, manage IV therapies, administer blood/blood products, and manage drains
• Unit Information: Neuro unit with 22 beds, ratio of 1:4; charge nurse will have patient assignments
• Float: May float to medical unit if needed
• Other Requirements: Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and holiday rotation; on-call and call back not required
• Interview Schedule: Available Monday through Friday, with manager phone interviews and MSP interviews
