Job Summary:
A specialized ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing position is available in a healthcare facility located in the Illinois state region. This role requires experienced Critical Care Nurses capable of managing complex cardiovascular cases, including post-cardiac surgery, ventricular assist devices, and high acuity patient care. The position focuses on providing comprehensive patient care during night shifts, with a strong emphasis on advanced cardiovascular interventions and monitoring.

• Position: ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse
• Start Date: 08/09/2026
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Experience Requirements: 3 years of experience in CV ICU settings with proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, and cardiovascular interventions.
• Certifications and Education: Active Illinois nursing license, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required. Epic experience preferred.
• Additional Qualifications: Must have recent ICU skills checklist, a supervisor reference within the past year, and pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher.
• Float Requirements: May be required to float to Glenbrook MICU, Evanston ICU, or Highland Park ICU if needed.
• Preferred Experience: Charge nurse experience is preferred.
• Responsibilities: Managing ventilated patients, administering medications including continuous IV paralytics, assisting with management of BiPAP and CPAP, interpreting ABGs, and adhering to infection prevention protocols.
• Orientation: 8 hours of non-billable orientation.
