Job Summary
The Operating Room Technician (Surgical Technician) position is located in Santa Rosa, California. This role involves supporting a busy short-term acute care facility with outpatient and community hospital surgical cases. The technician will be responsible for assisting with various orthopedic, neuro, and vascular surgeries, ensuring adherence to sterile procedures, and supporting surgical teams during procedures. The position is suited for candidates with at least one year of experience in surgical settings.

Job Details

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with start times at 7:00 AM or 9:00 AM, totaling a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technician or Operating Room Tech, California licensure in hand, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), experience with Epic charting system, and familiarity with orthopedic, neuro, and vascular surgical procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with outpatient, trauma, inpatient, or community hospital settings.
• Open to first-time travelers: Yes
• On-call Requirements: One weeknight per week and every 2nd or 3rd Saturday or Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM with a 20-minute response time.
• Additional Information:
  • Must be willing to work on major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year).
  • Must adhere to a 50-mile local radius rule and be willing to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
  • Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
  • Must have specific certifications and experience with anesthesia and orthopedic drills, cameras, and light cords for arthroscopy cases.
  • The assignment begins on 08/10/2026 and the candidate should be prepared for a 40-hour weekly schedule.
