Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse opportunity in Ashland, Oregon. This position involves working in a small, high-acuity emergency department requiring an experienced RN to operate independently with backup support from the House Supervisor and ER physician. The shift is located at night, with an expected schedule of 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend, with a mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts during daytime hours. The role provides an excellent opportunity for nurses with a background in emergency critical care to contribute in a fast-paced, independent environment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Ashland, Oregon
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shift schedule includes every other weekend, alternating between 8- and 12-hour shifts during day and evening hours.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license; BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications; at least 2 years of ER experience, with proficiency to function independently with House Supervisor support from 2400-0700 hours; able to work in a small ER environment, ideally with some ICU or high-acuity experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a small ER setting, higher acuity or ICU experience is a plus.
  • Additional Requirements: Able to verify Oregon RN license before start date; candidates should have a willingness to float to over units/departments as needed. Computer charting utilizing EPIC system; minimum of a 12-hour orientation shift.
  • Special Notes: Local radius restriction of 50 miles; non-billable orientation hours of 12 hours during the first work week; shift flexibility with variable days; must have Oregon RN license in hand prior to starting.
  • Documents Needed: Candidates email address, SSN, and license verification.
  • Important: This position is for an experienced ER nurse only. EMS not available.
