Job Summary:
Psychiatric Unit registered nurse (RN) position in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. This role involves providing inpatient behavioral health care with a focus on medication passing, patient care, documentation, and milieu management. The position offers a dynamic work environment with flexible shift options and opportunities to float between units as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, primarily days and evenings with 12-hour shifts. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: WI RN License, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, 1-2 years of behavioral health experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Float: May float to Stevens Point inpatient behavioral health unit if required.
• Additional Information: The unit has 11 beds with a maximum capacity of 8, maintaining a patient-to-RN ratio of approximately 1:5-6 if the unit is at full capacity. Responsibilities include medication administration, patient cares, documentation, and milieu management. Charting experience with Epic is preferred. The contract guarantees 36 hours weekly, with additional unbillable hours available during low census periods. During flu season, any traveler who declines flu and COVID-19 vaccinations is required to wear a mask at all times, in accordance with facility policy.
