Job Summary:
The Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) registered nurse position is located in Lynchburg, Virginia. This role involves working in a 12-hour day shift on a busy unit that manages a diverse patient population, including medical-surgical, tele, cardiac IMCU acuity level patients, neurological, and cerebrovascular accident (CVA) cases. The RN will participate in charge responsibilities, receive appropriate training and pay differentials, and contribute to a culture of support, especially when interacting with students and new hires.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active VA or Compact nursing license, high school diploma or equivalent, no minimum experience required, location in Virginia.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge nurse experience, Cerner EHR proficiency, COVID-19 and flu vaccination declinations accepted.
• Additional Information: Orientation occurs every other Monday. All REQUESTED TIME OFF requests must be included in initial submission. Limited RTO is offered, with the possibility of 36 or 48-hour contracts. The unit handles a mix of patient diagnoses including neuro and CVA. The facility is a teaching hospital with ongoing opportunities for collaboration with students and new hires.
