Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse position is available in a facility located in Concord, North Carolina. This role involves providing care to high-risk antepartum patients, laboring women, and postpartum care. The position requires managing various pregnancy and delivery conditions in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Job Details:
- Shift Times: Nights, 12 hours
- Schedule: Every 4 weeks, with every other weekend rotation
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Start Date: 08/10/2026
- Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM); minimum of 2 years labor and delivery experience, applicable certifications, education, and valid driver's license
- Patient Types and Common Diagnoses: High Risk Antepartum, Active Labor, Pre-Eclampsia, Hypertension disorders of pregnancy, and other pregnancy/delivery conditions; approximately 60-65 deliveries per month
- Patient Ratios: RN: Laboring patients 1:1-2
- Skills Required: Labor management, cesarean section circulation, pre-op care, postpartum recovery, newborn resuscitation, Pitocin and epidural management
- Support System: Secretary (Monday through Friday 8-5), OB mentor, charge nurse 24/7, Scrub Tech, Phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, intensivists, OB physicians, anesthesia/CRNA team, telemetry monitoring
- Technology/Equipment: EMR system (EPIC), IV pump (Alaris), medication dispensing (Omnicell), monitors (GE), and unit-specific equipment such as Monica Novii and Neptune
- Floating: Regionally within scope of practice; floating to facilities in Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, and Central Division as needed; travel time during float shifts compensated
- Orientation: 2 days department-specific orientation
- Other Notes: Scrub color provided (green), free parking, team-oriented and hardworking unit culture, no call required, observed holidays at 75%, up to 6 days RTO allowed, shift times from 6:45 AM to 7:30 PM or 6:45 PM to 7:30 AM.
