Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a registered nurse (RN) specialized in Medical Surgical care for a position on a Medical Surgical Floor in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. The role involves providing skilled nursing care to a diverse patient population in a busy acute care setting. This position offers an opportunity to work in a reputable facility dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; at least 2 years of nursing experience in a medical surgical setting; current licensure as a registered nurse (RN).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IV and NG insertion, ability to handle common diagnoses and treatments, critical thinking skills, and strong communication abilities.
• Additional Information: Unit comprises 18 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6. The unit utilizes Meditech electronic health records. The role does not require float duties outside of the medical surgical scope and has no call requirements. The position is a replacement for permanent staff, with orientation scheduled starting July 6, 2026, and subsequent sessions on July 20, August 3, August 17, September 14, September 28, October 12, October 26, November 9, and December 7, 2026. Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility, and travel is required.
