Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse opportunity available in Des Moines, Iowa. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care across various service lines, including trauma, neuro, and robotics. The role requires flexibility with shift rotations and the ability to float across multiple campuses, supporting a busy Level I trauma center.
Job Details:
- Certifications: BLS (AHA) required; Iowa license or multistate compact license required at the time of submission.
- Education and Experience: 24 months of current operating room experience, including circulating and scrub responsibilities. Experience with EPIC electronic medical systems within the last 3 years preferred.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: 24 months of current operating room experience, active Iowa or multistate license, BLS certification, and ability to scrub and circulate.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I experience highly preferred; trauma Level II experience required; experience with neurology, orthopedics (primarily trauma), gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, ENT, and vascular surgeries is highly desirable.
- Additional Information: The role is critical to supporting a high-volume OR with complex cases, including Da Vinci robotic surgeries, neuro navigation, and trauma services. Traveler will be required to float across all campuses and work during the weekend call schedule, with opportunities for overnight shifts. Immediate start date essential, with orientation available any day of the week.
