Description

Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU CV) registered nurse position is based in Medford, Oregon. This role involves caring for post open heart surgery and cardiac medical patients in a specialized CVICU. The nurse will be responsible for managing ventilated patients, trach care, and assessing patient recovery using advanced equipment and computerized systems.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, every other weekend, with some weekends potentially consecutive to accommodate time off
  • Required Qualifications: Oregon RN License, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), minimum of 0 years of experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Three years of RN experience, including at least one year in CVICU, post heart cath recovery, management of post-op open heart patients, ventilated patients, swan ganz catheters, and vasoactive medication titration
  • Orientation: 12 hours of CVICU-specific training and orientation
  • Float: RNs may float to ICU, IMCU, ED, medical-surgical, telemetry, post-surgical, and orthopedic-neuro units as a resource, with the possibility of reduced assignments in med-surg float roles
  • Coverage & Policies: No scheduled call; optional standby during low census; float to other units as needed; client may cancel or call off up to 24 hours or within 13 weeks with a 2-week notice period.
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1 and 1:2 nurse to patient ratio
