Job Summary
The organization is seeking a registered nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) at a healthcare facility in Medford, Oregon. This role involves caring for post-operative heart surgery and cardiac medical patients, including those requiring ventilators, trach care, and vasoactive medication management. The position requires the ability to provide high-quality patient care during 12-hour night shifts.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, with potential consecutive weekends to accommodate requested time off. Must be available for call or on standby during scheduled shifts.
  • Required Qualifications: Oregon Registered Nurse license, BLS, ACLS certifications, and a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience with 3 years of RN experience overall, including 1 year of CVICU nursing, post heart cath recovery, post op day 1 open heart surgery patient management, ventilated patient experience, and familiarity with Swan-Ganz catheters and vasoactive medication titration.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic charting and medication systems such as EPIC and Omnicell, and experience with B. Braun IV Pumps, Avea ventilators, and Edwards/Phillips patient monitoring systems.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to ICU, IMCU, ED, or other units including medical-surgical, telemetry, post-surgical, and ortho neuro units.
  • Additional Information: Orientation includes 12 hours of training in the CVICU. The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2. The minimum hours per week are 36, with shifts beginning on 08/03/2026. The client may cancel or call off with 24 hours' notice or up to 2 weeks notice at the unit level.
