Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse specializing in acute care at a healthcare facility in Iron Mountain, Michigan. This position involves providing high-quality emergency nursing services during night shifts, with a focus on trauma, STEMI, stroke, and variable patient diagnoses. The role requires a dedicated and experienced nurse to support patient care in a dynamic environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/03/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Michigan nursing license, ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), and a minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma, stroke, STEMI, and variable emergency patient conditions.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Must have at least 2 years of ED experience.
  • Facility operates with 14 beds and 2 trauma bays, including a fast track area, triage rooms, and designated hold areas.
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios are approximately 1:3-4 during the day, with increased night coverage.
  • In-house 24/7 emergency department support including RTs, phlebotomy, ABG, breathing treatments, and EKGs.
  • Shifts include 7, 10, 12, and 3-hour options, with weekend coverage every other weekend and holiday requirement of 2/3 during winter months.
  • No in-house security 24/7; security is provided via local police and internal protocols.
  • No Tech Monitoring; central monitoring station with RN oversight.
  • All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
  • Dress code is solid color, professional attire.
