Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor nurse position available in Murphysboro, Illinois. The unit operates a blend of Medical Surgical, Swing Bed Program, and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) patients. The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every other holiday and weekend required. The team is highly engaged and actively participates in various unit committees. This facility is designated as a Pathways to Excellence facility through the ANCC, reflecting a commitment to safety, quality care, and a positive environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Nursing license, Associate's Degree or higher in Nursing (or equivalent), Illinois licensing requirements, 1 year of nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Medsurg, Swing Bed Program, or PCU care; strong team engagement.
• Additional Information: The unit balances assignments based on workload and the patients level of care, with patient ratios up to 1:3-4 for PCU when on drips. No on-call responsibilities.
