Description
Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in Evansville, Indiana. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care for patients within the unit, following established care plans, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring patient safety. The RN will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care and support patient discharge planning.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift; Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift (CIRH only); a minimum of 0 years of clinical experience in a bedside setting; located in Evansville, Indiana or willing to commute.
- Preferred Qualifications: Minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience; interest in a 16-26 week assignment.
- Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and develops individualized care plans. Documents all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely. Participates actively in patient rehabilitation programs and collaborates on discharge planning. Provides direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, delegates tasks appropriately, and ensures safety and quality standards are maintained. Engages in ongoing professional development and team-building activities to foster a positive work environment. Assumes charge responsibility after orientation and communicates effectively to support continuity of care.
