Description

Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse in Seattle. This role involves caring for neonates and infants, with responsibilities focused on providing specialized care in a Level III or Level IV NICU setting. The position offers consistent day shifts and requires a committed healthcare professional with at least three years of NICU experience.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience, BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications, proficiency in administration of blood and blood products, central line care, neonatal dosage calculations, ventilator management (including CPAP/BiPAP, high-frequency vents, oscillators, vents), management of feeding tubes (oral, nasogastric, nasojejunal), and management of PICC/Central lines. Experience caring for neonates from 23-24 weeks gestation and above.
  • Additional Information: Travel assignment begins on 08/10/2026. The candidate must be willing to float to different campuses, including First Hill, Issaquah, Edmonds, or Pediatrics/NBN units, primarily caring for newborns and infants. The unit averages a daily census of 50 patients across 77 beds, with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries. The role includes attending high-risk deliveries and neonatal surgeries, with no responsibility for admitting babies as a dedicated nurse handles that. Travel compliance requires two references covering one year (or six months for CNAs) within the last three years, and completion of non-billable modules averaging 16 hours.
