Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in San Antonio, Texas, will provide specialized patient care in the post-anesthesia recovery environment. This role involves closely monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring their stability, and collaborating with the clinical team to facilitate smooth transitions through recovery.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift with a shift time of 8 hours and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), applicable education and degree requirements, and a minimum of 0 years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Additional Information: The role involves working in a 24-bay unit with a multidisciplinary staff comprising charge nurses, registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, and sitters. The environment utilizes Meditech electronic medical records. Candidates should be comfortable with working in a Phase II recovery setting and adhering to unit-specific policies. Weekend and on-call rotations may be required, with call rotation assignments.
