Description
Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Medical (ICU MEDICAL) registered nurse position in a magnet designated acute hospital located in Alaska. This role involves providing specialized care for critically ill adult patients in a Level II Trauma center with a daily census of approximately 21 patients. The assignment duration is 13 weeks, starting on 09/08/2026, with a rotating shift schedule of 12 hours per shift.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with at least 36 hours minimum per week.
- Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of ICU medical experience, current Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand for auto-offer, BLS certification, ACLS certification, NIHSS certification, proficient in arterial line management, chest tube insertion/removal, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, stroke management, and other critical care procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma level II facilities, experience with Epic electronic charting system, and experience in neuro intensive care units.
- Float: Float within scope to meet facility needs may be required to like units.
- Additional Information: Candidates must include responses regarding prior work at a Providence facility, provide two references covering the last three years, and be prepared to commit to working three of the five major holidays. Candidates must possess a valid state license, with a compact license accepted, and be located at least 50 miles from the facility. No Nursys or background check (BG) hits accepted; return staff policy permits returning after 3 months.
