Job Summary:
Nursing, Medical Surgical Floor, Templeton This position involves providing nursing care on a medical/surgical unit within a healthcare facility. The role requires orientation to patient care planning, management of age-related physiological, emotional, and cognitive needs for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, and delegation of responsibilities to ancillary personnel. The position is represented by CNA.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/03/2026
• Required Qualifications: Associate Degree (A.S.), or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred; current RN license in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor as per facility policy; minimum of 0 years of experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience on Medical Surgical floors is preferred
• Essential Functions: Provides appropriate nursing interventions in both stable and emergent patient situations; performs routine nursing skills including medication administration, intravenous therapy (including blood products), care and maintenance of indwelling catheters and drains, and safe use of medical equipment such as glucose meters, intravenous pumps, and PCA machines; addresses physiological, emotional, and cognitive needs of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including those with hearing, learning, and physical disabilities; develops and executes multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plans; demonstrates competency in epidural management, wound care, sterile technique, and vascular assessment; educates patients and families, adjusting teaching to age, condition, culture, and learning readiness; delegates tasks based on individual competency; documents all care accurately and timely; performs safety and quality control checks; identifies opportunities to improve care and operational efficiency; adapts to change and contributes to unit goals; utilizes downtime for productive activities such as chart auditing and training; performs additional duties as assigned.
