Description

Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nursing position is located in the Saint Louis area. The role involves providing critical care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple ICU specialties, including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac / Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID units. The position requires experienced, independent nurses capable of floating within various critical care settings, and involves night shifts starting on August 10, 2026.

Job Details:

  • Shift Hours: Nights, 12 hours per shift
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
  • Required Qualifications: 2 years ICU experience, appropriate certifications (ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS), valid Missouri or compact state license at the time of submittal, and travel experience required
  • Schedule: Night shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, starting on 08/10/2026
  • Float: Will float to inpatient floors when needed with a ratio of no more than 1:3. Will also float to non-critical care units or act as a patient sitter if necessary. Floating within the service line is required
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS are required; additional preferred certifications include CCRN, ONS, and TNCC
  • Additional Responsibilities: Administering chemo, managing arterial lines, blood products, ventilated patients, central lines, CVVHD/CRRT, ECMO, ICP monitoring, and vasoactive drips
  • Unit Details: Critical care experience in adult and geriatric populations, with no specific CVICU experience required, supportive interdisciplinary teams, and a diverse range of patient diagnoses
  • Special Equipment: Includes Vasoactive drips, EEG monitoring, arterial lines, and other critical care technology
  • Community & Facility Notes: No local candidate restrictions within a 75-mile radius; orientation hours to be completed; contract length is firm; compliance deadlines apply; travel experience mandatory; and knowledge of EPIC charting system preferred.
