Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Dubuque, Iowa. This position involves providing specialized maternity care within a Level 2 maternal/neonatal center, supporting antepartum, postpartum, and neonatal patients. The role requires delivering quality patient care during the night shift, with responsibilities aligned with current clinical standards and unit policies.

Job Details

Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: 24 months of current labor and delivery, nursery, or mother-baby experience; EPIC electronic health record experience; NRP certification; Intermediate or Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification; STABLE certification; BLS and ACLS certifications; Iowa licensed or multistate license; medication administration experience with glucose, magnesium, Pitocin, and insulin; professional reference from within the past 24 months.
Preferred Qualifications: Nursery or mother-baby experience; postpartum experience; NICU experience; travel experience within the last 15 months.
Additional Information:
- Timeframe: Orientation dates on 08/10/2026, 08/17/2026, and 08/24/2026.
- Holiday coverage: required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
- Patient types: antepartum, maternal-baby, newborn, OB/GYN, NICU.
- Bed capacity: Maternity (16 beds), Nursery (12 beds), NICU (4 beds), C-section suite (1 room).
- Ratios: Labor 1:1, postpartum 1:2, NICU 2:1.
- OnCall: None.
- Certifications required: BLS, NRP, FHM, STABLE, ACLS.
- Location: 350 N GRANDVIEW AVE, DUBUQUE, IA 52001.
