Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse position is located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This role involves providing competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting, utilizing the nursing process to meet patient needs. The position emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes, with responsibilities including patient assessment, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina, Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA or ARC, one (1) year of nursing experience, and education requirement of a Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Additional Information: The role involves bedside point of care testing, care prioritization for complex patient needs, and active participation in performance improvement activities. The position requires strong interdisciplinary collaboration, cultural competence, and adherence to healthcare standards and safety protocols.
