Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse in Kyle, TX. This role involves delivering professional nursing care within a busy level II trauma center's operative setting. The position requires assisting with surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and preparing operating rooms and instruments for surgery.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse credential from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire, Advanced Life Support certification obtained within 6 months of hire, and BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire.
• Unit Description: High level overview of the department: Busy level II trauma center with 8 operating rooms.
• Additional Information: Performs scrub and circulating functions, including instrument handling, patient monitoring, supporting surgical staff with procedures such as hemostasis and suturing, patient positioning, and room preparation. Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a stressful environment are essential. The role involves work in a fast-paced, high-stakes setting with a team comprising PCTS, three supervisors, and team leads. Scrub attire is sky blue. Candidates with experience in orthopedics, trauma, general surgery, gynecology, urology, DaVinci robotics, vascular, or cardiovascular (CVOR) surgery will be preferred.
