Description
Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN position in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves providing specialized nursing care in a telemetry setting for a diverse patient population, including cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, and psychiatric conditions. The staff will be responsible for patient monitoring and supporting recovery in a high-acuity environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Baltimore, Maryland
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, relevant experience in telemetry medical-surgical units, IV skills, and familiarity with cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal patient care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous employment in a hospital setting managing complex medical diagnoses, experience with psychiatric comorbidities, and familiarity with the patient population.
- Additional Information: The RN will work in a 38-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights during weekends. PCT/Pt ratios are 1:10. The role involves weekend and holiday rotations and adherence to facility-specific protocols for patient care.
- Experience: 0 years minimum required, with preference for candidates experienced in telemetry and medical-surgical nursing.
