Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse position at a healthcare organization located at 200 Hawkins Drive in Iowa City. This role involves providing care in the Labor and Delivery department, particularly managing high-risk cases and circulating in the operating room as the primary nurse. Candidates will be expected to float to antepartum and postpartum units, caring for all patient types including newborns. The position offers an immediate start with shifts during nights, 36 hours per week, with a mix of days and weekends as required.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with orientation during 8-hour days.
• Required Qualifications: Two years experience in high-risk labor and delivery; circulation in the operating room as the primary nurse; newborn care experience including obtaining vital signs and glucose monitoring immediately after delivery; willingness to float to antepartum and postpartum units caring for all patient types including newborns.
• Preferred Qualifications: Three months of EPIC experience including operating room charting.
• Certifications Required: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• Additional Information: Candidates must have completed UIHC compliances before starting, including the ECG module. The role requires must-have Level 1 Trauma Experience. No travel is required for this position.
