Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking a MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN) in the Michigan area. This role involves providing general nursing care on a 25-bed medical-surgical floor, primarily caring for geriatric patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, and diabetes. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with an emphasis on patient safety and quality care.

Job Details:

• Position: Medical Surgical Floor (MS) RN
• Location: 1400 W Ice Lake Rd, Iron River, Michigan, 49935
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, start date 08/10/2026, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks with the possibility of extension
• Shift Requirements: Night shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
• Float Requirements: Float to the Emergency Department within competency is required
• On Call/Call Back Requirements: May experience low census; call back minimum of 2 hours
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday
• Required Licenses and Certifications: Current Michigan RN license and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred but not required
• Minimum Experience: Experienced MedSurg RN with at least 2 years of clinical experience, including ICU and Emergency Room (ER) experience. Strong charting skills with CareScape patient monitors, Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and Pyxis medication dispersion
• Education: Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Patient Ratios: Day shift 1:4-1:5, Night shift approximately 1:6
• Scrubs: Any colored scrubs acceptable
• Position Notes: General nursing duties with focus on geriatric patients; facility features a 25-bed unit
