Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing position is located in San Pedro, California. This role involves providing specialized critical care services in a busy acute care hospital setting. The position supports adult and adolescent patient populations, requiring a commitment to patient safety and high-quality clinical care. The start date is August 17, 2026, with a schedule of 12-hour shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: California license must be in hand; minimum 2 years of experience, including charge experience; related certifications such as ACLS, BLS, NIH will be required; experience managing arterial lines, ventilators, and complex critical care procedures; experience in trauma, surgical, shock, or neuro ICU settings highly preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in specialized ICU units such as Surgical, Trauma, Shock, or Neuro ICU; experience with complex patient management and special procedures such as CRRT, Vasoactive titrations, and hypothermia protocols
• Additional Information: This role may require floating to different ICU units within the facility, including specialized units. Candidates must be willing to work a block schedule at the discretion of the management team. The assignment involves caring for patients with respiratory failure, severe sepsis, septic shock, and primary stroke diagnoses.
• Submittal Requirements: Candidates must respond to inquiries about previous experience at a similar healthcare facility, hold a current LA fire card (within the last 30 days), and provide two recent references covering at least one year during the last three years.
