Description

Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position located in Utica, New York. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ICU setting, with a focus on critical patient management, including the use of specialty equipment such as CRRT and Prismaflex. The shift is scheduled for nights, and the assignment is suitable for experienced ICU professionals.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a registered nurse with an active New York State license; current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; 2+ years of ICU experience with documented travel experience; experience with Critical Resuscitative Rapid Response Team (CRRT) and Prismaflex; EPIC electronic medical record system experience; valid drivers license matching demographics.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Four to five years of ICU experience, with a strong preference for candidates with heart-related ICU experience.
  • Schedule: Nights, with shift hours from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., minimum 36 hours weekly.
  • Additional Information: Must have experience with CRRT and Prismaflex; floating to units other than Behavioral and Emergency Room (unless holding); navy scrub color required. The unit has 42 beds, with patient diagnoses including strokes, sepsis, AMS, neuro interventions, respiratory failure, CHF, post-stemi, CV surgeries, cardiogenic shock, trauma, and major post-operative surgeries. Equipment such as IABP, ICP monitoring, ventriculostomy, TTM (Artic Sun), and ICP monitoring are used frequently.
