Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) registered nurse position in Bronx, New York. This role involves circulating and scrub experience within a cardiac specialty unit. The candidate will work on various cardiac surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) with endoscopic vessel harvesting (EVH), chest closure, thoracoscopy, wedge resection, and valve repairs or replacements. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care in a fast-paced, acute care setting requiring specialized skills.

Job Details:

• Location: Bronx, NY
• Schedule: Days, 11.5 hours per shift, minimum of 34.5 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/12/2026
• Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; minimum of 2 years of experience; NYS licensure required; experience with cardiac surgical procedures such as CABG EVH, chest closure, thoracoscopy, wedge resection, aortic valves, mitral valves; circulating and scrub experience in an operating room setting
• Preferred Qualifications: Cardiac surgery experience preferred but not required
• Additional Information: The role is situated in an acute division with specific cardiac surgical caseloads. The facility does not require a BSN or BSN equivalent. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate competence in the electronic charting system EPIC. No float rotation is indicated for this assignment.
• Submission Requirements: Valid license to submit; no BSN required; BSN is not mandated for this position.
