Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU Neuro) Nurse in Iowa City, Iowa. This role involves providing specialized care in a surgical neuro intensive care unit with a strong focus on neuro surgical patients. The position requires adherence to hospital protocols and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, with shift hours totaling 12 hours per day, and a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, two or more years of experience in a neuro surgical intensive care unit, experience working in a level 1 trauma facility, proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records, and clinical competence in neuro intensive care.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Strong neuro surgical ICU experience and level 1 trauma experience are highly preferred.
  • Additional Information: Must have a minimum of two years of neuro ICU experience, specifically in neuro surgical patients, with strong proficiency in EPIC EMR systems. This position involves working in a rotating day/night schedule. Candidates must have current licensure and meet all credentialing requirements.
