Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position located in Bakersfield, California. This role involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care within the surgical environment, supporting patient safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures. The position emphasizes collaboration with the surgical team and adherence to hospital policies and standards of practice.

Job Details:

Schedule: 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 08/10/2026.
Required Qualifications: Valid and unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse License (RN License). Possess and maintain current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider: 1. Basic Life Support (BLS) card. 2. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) card. Minimum of 0 years of experience in perioperative nursing or operating room settings.
Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program with a bachelors or associate degree preferred.
Additional Information: The role requires understanding advanced theory, techniques, and practices of nursing; medical terminology, instruments, and equipment; the uses and effects of medicines and narcotics. The nurse will perform patient assessments, care planning, and nursing interventions, demonstrating critical thinking and nursing judgment. Knowledge of infection control, medication administration, and controlled substance regulations is also essential. The position may require call on nights and weekends, and employees must maintain all health requirements designated by the organization.
