Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a hospital setting in Peoria, Illinois. This position involves providing specialized care on a general medical unit with an emphasis on teamwork and effective communication. The role is scheduled for night shifts and requires the ability to manage a variety of patients and clinical scenarios.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Illinois licensure or confirmation that application process has been initiated; active BLS (American Heart Association) certification; minimum of 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing; strong teamwork and communication skills
• Department: Medical Acute Care Unit with 20 beds, patient ratios of 1:4/5 on day shift and 1:5/6 on night shift; presence of charge nurse and house supervisor on each shift, with the charge nurse sometimes taking patient assignments; nurse aides/patient care technicians available 24 hours daily at ratios of 1:6/7 on days and 1:10 on nights; telemetry monitoring with Phillips monitors at central station, bedside RNs do not read strips; orientation includes 3 additional days; unit utilizes EPIC charting system
• Duration: Start date of 08/17/2026 with a minimum commitment aligned to shift requirements
• Float: Float rotation may be required, typically the last to float unless otherwise scheduled
