Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Austin, Texas. This position involves delivering direct patient care within a high-acuity emergency department setting. The RN will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, executing physician and nursing orders, and functioning in triage and clinical support roles. The role requires collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse licensure, at least 2 years of experience as an emergency department RN, and certifications including Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level IV Maternal Fetal care environment or emergency department with obstetric patients.
• Additional Information: The nurse will care for non-obstetric patients, assist with triage, and support clinical operations in a 30-bed emergency department within a 400+ bed hospital. The facility holds accreditations such as JCAHO Primary Heart Attack Center (STEMI Receiving), DNV Primary Stroke Center Plus, Level IV Trauma Center, and certifications in ECMO, LVAD, and advanced heart failure. The team operates with a Navy Blue scrub uniform, and EMR documentation is managed via Cerner.
