Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) opportunities are available in a healthcare facility located in Rockford, Illinois. The role involves caring for cardiac patients, including those post open-heart procedures such as TAVR and Watchman, as well as managing patients with conditions like DKA, CIWA, and those requiring titrating drips. The position includes rotating shifts with a schedule of 12 hours per shift, every third weekend, and rotating holidays.

Job Details:

  • Location: 1401 E State Street, Rockford, Illinois, United States
  • Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
  • Shift: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift
  • Schedule: 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/03/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, no additional certifications or experience required, located in Illinois, with at least 1 year of nursing experience preferred
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac patient care, open heart procedures, and post-procedure management are highly desirable
  • Additional Information: The role involves working with a pod of 8 patients in an Intermediate Care setting, managing new bipap, DKA, CIWA, and titrating drips. Responsibilities include providing high-quality patient care in accordance with facility protocols and treatment plans.
