Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician in Apple Valley, California. This position involves supporting a busy surgical team across various specialties, including orthopedics, spine, and total joints, with a strong emphasis on spine and total joint procedures. The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, providing essential technical assistance during surgeries, with schedules comprising 12-hour night shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification as a Surgical Technician (CST or equivalent), current BLS certification, California license in hand (if applicable), and at least 1 year of experience. Experience with spine and total joint cases (3S and 4S cases) required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotic-assisted surgeries, SPD experience, outpatient surgery experience.
- Float: Float rotation to outpatient surgery center as needed.
- On-Call Requirements: Yes, on-call duty with a 30-minute response time.

- Additional Information: The OR includes 6 surgical suites, with one dedicated to open heart procedures. Candidates must be willing to work holidays and possibly exceed scheduled hours to meet unit needs. Experience with various surgical procedures including ENT, GYN, urology, vascular, and minimally invasive surgeries is preferred. Candidates must be eligible to work within a 50-mile radius and have appropriate licensure.
