Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. This position involves supporting surgical procedures within a busy healthcare facility, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols. The role requires flexibility to float to other units as needed to support the organizations operational needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Days, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: A valid nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and two years of OR RN experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience working in surgical services preferred.
• Additional Information: The position involves working in a surgical environment with a patient ratio of 1:1 on a unit with 15 beds. EMR system used is Cerner. Scrub color will be provided by the hospital. Call requirements include one to two calls per week, with 8-hour call shifts approved at a rate of $85/hr. Floating to a surgery center may be required. The department operates with 48-hour guarantees and blocked scheduling cannot be approved.
