Description
Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Open Heart Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Aurora, Colorado. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within a Level Three-CICU at a children's hospital. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic pediatric environment, supporting patients with complex cardiac conditions on a rotating day/night schedule.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, approximately 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: BSN degree (or ADN with 6 years of experience), Colorado RN license or multi-state compact license, PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications. A minimum of 2-3 years of staff RN experience in a dedicated cardiovascular pediatric intensive care unit with previous travel experience is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCR M) certification and VAD experience are preferred. Teaching hospital experience is strongly favored.
- Additional Information: Float within the organization as needed, up to 35 miles from the original facility, with the possibility of being assigned to other practice areas within your clinical competence. Up to 75% weekend shifts may be scheduled. No requested time off (RTO) is permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment. Exemptions for seasonal influenza vaccination based on medical or religious grounds are allowed.
