Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse for a facility located in Reston, Virginia. The role involves providing critical patient care in a 24-bed ICU unit, with a team of approximately 55 staff members. The ICU nurse will work a day shift, engaging in a schedule that includes rotation with weekends and on-call responsibilities, to deliver high-quality trauma and critical care services.
Job Details:
- Location: Reston, VA
- Schedule: Days, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications, 2-3 years ICU experience, Virginia state nursing license, and at least 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma ICU settings, TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) certification.
- Additional Information: The unit has a patient ratio of 2:1, and staff are expected to adhere to facility dress codes, including navy scrubs. Candidates must be comfortable with a rotating day/night schedule with weekend and on-call duties.
