Description

Job Summary:
Infusion Nurse position in Omaha, Nebraska. This role involves providing infusion therapy, including chemotherapy, antibiotics, blood, iron, and fluids to patients in an acute care setting. The position is suitable for qualified nurses with a minimum of one year of experience and requires certification and licensure as specified.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, mostly from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Shift start and end times will vary, with no call responsibilities.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: High preference for nurses certified in chemotherapy.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information:
    • Must pass a pass/fail exam during orientation with a 90% passing score.
    • Fingernail policy prohibits artificial nails in patient care areas.
    • Candidates must comply with a 50-mile radius rule; a driver's license will be used to confirm eligibility.
    • No facility, hospital, or employer names are included; references to organization are generic.
    • Position involves handling around 50 patients per day with a staff of approximately 6-7 RNs.
    • Tasks include infusing chemotherapy, antibiotics, blood, iron, fluids, and administering various injections.
    • The hospital can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment or three shifts for shorter assignments.
