Job Summary:
Operating Room First Assistant in Tucson, Arizona. This role involves assisting physicians with surgical procedures in a dynamic operating environment. The position requires hands-on support during surgeries, ensuring a smooth operative process in accordance with hospital protocols and safety standards.
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: Days, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities approximately 10-12 days every six weeks.
- Required Qualifications: Certification as a First Assist, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and completion of accredited training via a certificate, diploma, or associates degree program.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner electronic medical record systems and working in operating room settings.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Assist physicians with surgical procedures, ensuring the surgical environment is maintained and sterile before, during, and after surgeries. Operating room assistants help with patient positioning, instrument handling, and other perioperative tasks to support surgical teams efficiently.
